2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about TRE NORWOOD: Oklahoma, 5117 192 4.58. Two-year starter, Fort Smith, AR. Has played all over the Oklahoma secondary but was primarily a corner or slot corner for most of his career. Played more safety this past season and was invited to the Senior Bowl where he got reps at safety and slot corner. Has played press Cover 2 and man along with off deep outside coverage. As a safety he played quarters, half and one high. Quick in his pedal he shows fluid transitions with above average agility. Changes speeds to maintain cushion and times turn and run to stay in phase up the field. Has the speed to cover vertical routes. In limited safety reps he flips his hips to get over the top and shows good angles to the ball. Flashes downhill ability. As a slot corner he gets into his drop and balances high/low routes while reading the quarterback. Quick to plant and drive on passes in front of him he shows excellent ball skills. Has leaping ability to find the catch point and high points the ball. Had five interceptions this past season. Willing wrap tackler that can get dragged. Lack of length and bulk are a concern as he can get out-muscled and knocked around by a big physical receiver. Has limited man to man experience but quickness should allow him to develop. Struggled at times in man to man reps at the Senior Bowl. Lost the 2019 season with an ACL injury and came back to start the last five games of 2020 with some outstanding performances. Versatility and special team potential will give him an opportunity. 2020 stats: 23 T, 2 PBU, 5 INT (1 TD). Sixth/seventh round. (A-29 1/8, H-9 1/2, VJ-33.5, SS-4.45).
