Ourlads' Profile:
2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about AARON ROBINSON: Central Florida, 5114 190 4.39. Two year starter, Deerfield Beach FL. Alabama transfer after his freshman year. Has good length for the position. Has most often been used as a nickel or slot corner at UCF. At his best as a press corner in the slot he is quick to mirror route breaks and undercut receivers going for the ball. Can be sticky and physical in press man. Rarely separated but if he is he has recovery speed to make plays from behind. Has the speed to close on a shallow crossing receiver and get his hands to the catch point. Handles speed well and can match vertical routes. Has shown adequate short zone coverage although this is not a strong area. Willing to attack blocks and flashes ability to separate from a block on the move. He can outmaneuver blockers to make plays in space. With a clean shot on a tackle he will make a big hit. Not as good in off man situations as he is inconsistent with cushion and can let a receiver get up on his toes. Has some stiffness in turn and run which gets him out of position at times. As a result he can get grabby. This also occasionally shows up on route breaks. Will whiff at times on reroutes and offhand jams. Thin frame makes it hard to hold up against stalk blocks. Has the tools necessary but needs to hone his overall skills to be a complete corner at the next level. Showed up well at the Senior Bowl for the most part but did not play in the game. At this point he will be looked at as a third corner/nickel back. 2020 stats: 41 T, 1 TFL, 6 PBU, 1 FF, 1 FR. Second/third round. (A-30, H-8 3/4, VJ-37, SS-4.31).
