Ourlads' Profile:

2018 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about ARDEN KEY: LSU, 6047 238 4.65. Junior entry from Atlanta, GA. Started 26 games over three years. After a highly recruited high school career, Key played his way into the starting lineup as a freshman in 2015, producing five sacks and a team-high nine hurries. He took the next step up in 2016, leading the team with 12 sacks and earning second-team All-SEC honors. Was heading towards stardom, but on off-season that saw him leave the team coupled with a shoulder injury created several questions. Ended his career with a very average performance. His projection will be based on upside. Has the ideal frame for any edge rushing position, whether it be a 3-4 or 4-3. His long arms and glimpses of powerful bursts into the pocket can be a nightmare for any blocker. There is a sense of violence and pop with his hands on contact. When his timing is right off the edge, he can stand up a blocker and decide where he wants to go. There is an equally effective ability to rush inside and out. Plays with knee bend, locked out arms, and the ability to change direction on a dime. His conditioning was an issue last fall, as his off-season preparation was halted by his leave from the game and an off-season shoulder surgery plus an in-season finger injury. His main issues revolve around motivation and passion for the game. No matter what he does have in his arsenal tool-wise, that could be a deal breaker for some teams. The tools, gifts, and quality tape are all out there. The question remains, how bad does he want it? Boom or bust. 2017 stats: 33 T, 5.5 TFL, 4 sacks, 8 QBH, 1 FF. Edge speed:left 2.04, right 1.94. Did not run or do bench at Combine, his choice. Third/fourth round. (A-33 1/2, H-10, BP-DNP, SS-4.25).
