Depth Chart Fantasy Impact
The Super Bowl Champion Rams return last year’s top 3 target-getters in WR Cooper Kupp, WR Van Jefferson and TE Tyler Higbee. Those 3 combined for 68% of the team’s receiving yards and 66% of the TDs last year – Kupp leading the way with his huge 145-1,947-16 line.
WR Robert Woods, who tallied 69 targets before tearing an ACL in Week 9 last year, was traded to Tennessee in March. And WR Odell Beckham, rehabbing a torn ACL suffered in the Super Bowl, remains unsigned as of mid-June.
That tandem will be replaced by WR Allen Robinson, who inked a 3-year, $46.5 million deal in free agency. Robinson is coming off an ugly 2021 season. But he topped 1,100 yards in both of the previous 2 seasons, turns just 29 in August and is now playing in the best offense of his career.
The Rams added RB Kyren Williams in the 5th round of this spring’s draft. The Notre Dame product projects primarily as a pass-catching back and will open the season behind RBs Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson on the depth chart.
On the offensive line, the Rams lost LT Andrew Whitworth to retirement and RG Austin Corbett to Carolina in free agency. Four-year veteran Joseph Noteboom is slated to step in at LT, while 3rd-round rookie Logan Bruss is penciled in at RG.
