Offensive Rookie of the Week:
Ozzy Trapilo - Chicago Bears
Defensive Rookie of the Week:
Nick Emmanwori - Seattle Seahawks
Quarterback
Shedeur Sanders / CLE (Round 5)
No two rookie quarterbacks combined to get even close to Sanders’ 364 yards in his third career start. In poor weather that included wind, rain, and snow he threw forr three scores including two in the fourth quarter as they clawed back from a 14-point deficit and nearly tied it up before falling short due to an odd two-point conversion play call by Kevin Stefanski where he actually took the ball out of Sanders’ hands.
Honorable Mention: Tyler Shough / NO
Running Back
RJ Harvey / DEN (Round 2)
Harvey led the rookie backs in essentially every metric we look at when reviewing the week. He was number one in yards with 75, number one in yards per carry among those who had more than seven rushing attempts with 4.4, number one in missed tackles forced with eight, and number one in first downs with eight. Wit JK Dobbins out for the year, Harvey is now going to shoulder the load of the number one back and he is also the fourth-leading pass catcher on the team.
Honorable Mention: Omarion Hampton / LAC
Wide Receiver
Luther Burden III / CHI (Round 2)
The leader among rookie receivers with 67 yards (his second highest this year), Burden stepped up as the Bears were without Rome Odunze. All four of his catches went for a first down as Caleb Williams went to him in a variety of ways. 27 of his yards came after the catch; no other rookie receiver had even half that.
Honorable Mention: Jack Bech / LV
Tight End
Harold Fannin Jr. / CLE (Round 3)
The relationship between Fannin and fellow All-Rookie Team Shedeur Sanders is something the league may need to look out for. They clearly have a connection. Fannin led all rookies, not just tight ends, with eight catches and 114 yards while scoring for the second straight week. In fact, no other NFL tight end eclipsed 100 yards receiving in week 14. His 56 yards after the catch were more than any other rookie tight had in total receiving yards.
Honorable Mention: Mason Taylor / NYJ
Offensive Tackle
Ozzy Trapilo / CHI (Round 2)
The third start at left tackle for Trapilo was by far his toughest task, the Green Bay Packers front. Following a college career that saw him play the vast majority of his snaps on the right side, the second rounder has not only proven he can hang, but absolutely dominate. On 40 pass protection snaps, he did not allow a single pressure nor was he penalized once all game. In 294 snaps, Trapilo has yet to be flagged. He was both firm and twitchy against a tough Packers front. His hand placement was accurate and it helped him maintain a strong, sturdy latch while keeping his feet balanced
Honorable Mention: Kelvin Banks Jr. / NO
Guard/Center
Grey Zabel / SEA (Round 1)
Speaking of shutouts in pass protection, Zabel also did not allow a single pressure in the Seahawks win over the underrated Atlanta pass rush. He has achieved that now a handful of times as a pass protector which has been the biggest contrast from the 2024 Seahawks and the 2025 version. The Seattle running game also averaged five yards per carry as Zabel owned the line of scrimmage from start to finish.
Honorable Mention: Donovan Jackson / MIN
Edge
JT Tuimoloau / IND (Round 2)
In a rotational role on just 26 snaps, Tuimoloau finished with two pressures and three tackles. He lined up inside seven times and that is where some of his best work, particularly as a pass rusher, came from. His versatility as a run defender displayed his ability to play heavy with his hands and fast with his feet as he was effective on both plays right at him and to the opposite side of the line.
Honorable Mention: Ashton Gillotte / KC
Defensive Tackle
Tyleik Williams / DET (Round 1)
The Lions put an end to the Cowboys red-hot offense and while the problems along the exterior of the Dallas offensive line were a key reason why, their interior remained strong. Williams was not impressed. For the third time in four weeks he finished with multiple pressures and it all stems from his power. He was able to toss blockers to the side and he also came up with a stop in the run game as they held the Dallas ground attack to under 100 yards for the first time since week six and just the second time all year.
Honorable Mention: Kenneth Grant / MIA
Linebacker
Carson Schwesinger / CLE (Round 2)
Schwesinger has been making plays for one of the league’s top defenses all year. The difference between now and earlier in the year is the cutdown in mistakes and bad snaps. Once again the first pick of day two led the rookie class with 11 tackles but he also finished with four pressures and a pass break up.
Honorable Mention:
Honorable Mention: Barrett Carter / CIN
Cornerback
Nohl Williams / KC (Round 3)
Things have gone from bad to ugly in Kansas City as their playoff hopes took yet another hit because of the anemic offense. Defensively they kept it together and it was Nohl Williams who stepped up in the secondary. He allowed just a 50% completion rate while adding three tackles and a stop. Williams’ top play of the night was a hard fought, physical pass break up while blanketing the oversized Houston number one receiver Nico Collins.
Honorable Mention: Darien Porter / LV
Safety
Nick Emmanwori / SEA (Round 2)
One of the most versatile rookie defenders in the class is one of the most versatile defenders in the NFL for the top five Seattle defense and he had one of the most versatile games of production you can find. Emmanwori finished with 5 tackles, one tackle for loss, a sack, an interception, and even a blocked field goal in the dominant road win. He lines up all over the field and can impact the game in so many ways. This Seattle defense would not be the same without him and this is the closest thing we have seen to Derwin James since, Derwin James.
Honorable Mention: Kevin Winston / TEN
