The only TE to reach 100 catches at Carolina, while his 1,281 career yards is No.2 at the position as a Gamecock. Rang up 559 receiving yards last year to rank seventh nationally among TEs, while his 44 catches were 10th. Both stats were No.2 among Gamecocks receivers. Scored two of his three TDs in victory over Missouri, including a 2-yard run in a goal-line set. Set a career best with 93 yards on seven catches in loss vs. Georgia. Set Carolina single-season records for a TE in 2016, tallying 48 catches and 616 yards. Walked on with the Gamecocks after two seasons in the Pittsburgh Pirates’ farm system, first as a pitcher (2013) before switching to first base. Underwent Tommy John surgery as an eighth-grader.
