2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about JERRION EALY:
Mississippi, 5089 189 4.50. Junior entry, three-year starter, Walnut Grove, MS. Has been a steady presence on the Mississippi offense since the start of his career. Three-time second-team All-SEC honoree as an all-purpose player. Sits toward the bottom of the running back depth chart but still makes a variety of impacts on the game weekly. Has kick return experience, wide receiver-caliber skills as a route runner and pass catcher, and is a solid change of pace ball carrier out of the backfield. Lacks the size to carry the ball over and over but get him ten touches per game across multiple domains and watch him produce. The former five-star recruit and major league baseball draft pick is a big-time competitor who knows how to get things done. Lightning-quick movement patterns across the board. Can maintain his speed and balance while making abrupt, sharp cuts in and out of traffic. Will make defenders miss. Runs tough and hard-nosed despite the size disadvantage. Shows the necessary grit and competitive fire to maximize his touches after contact. Disciplined route runner that understands spacing and timing. A reliable threat in the passing game with good hands and sudden burst up the field with the ball. Does not waste time or opportunities. Adds return value as well, will fill multiple roles. Does not stand much of a chance when a tackler gets a firm grip on him. Goes down on initial contact often when inside. Top end speed is average. Small radius as a receiver, simply will not reach everything. Effort is there as a blocker but makes very little impact.
