Ourlads' Profile:
2017 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about ISAAC ROCHELL: Notre Dame, 6043 282 4.91. Three-year starter from McDonough, GA. Team captain. Quick north-south movement off the snap with big, heavy hands. Can stifle the blocker with the initial punch. Strong upper body. Can make himself small and slippery. Will twist and turn, can shoot gaps and get up field. Has the length to keep blockers from locking on. Plus run defender who will pursue hard and play to his assignment. Brings versatility to the table. Becomes ineffective after the initial contact. Lacks an array of moves and diversity to get off blockers. Minimal reaction and quick lateral movement. Straight-line only kind of guy. Won’t produce a lot. Lacks lower body strength. Has played multiple roles along the defensive front. Recovered from an off-season back injury leading up to 2016 and didn’t get a lot of strength work. It appears that may still be his downfall. He has power off the snap but lacks the mass and strength to factor post-engagement. The tools and natural ability are there, but there is a lot of physical and skill development that need to be done. Senior Bowl notes: Quick at the snap getting into the blocker and working up the field. Good initially but is inconsistent to finish to the ball. Gets his hands inside the blocker’s hands and sheds quickly. Will play high and stop his feet at times. Flashes a sudden first step and burst to the quarterback. 2016 stats: 56 T, 7 TFL, 1 sack, 1 PBU, 10 QBH. Edge speed:DNP (pulled hamstring). OSR:25/40. Fifth/sixth round. (A-33 1/4, H-10, BP-25, 10-1.71).
