2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about MYRON TAGOVAILOA-AMOSA:
Notre Dame, 6022 270 4.81. Three-year starter, Ewa Beach, HI. Earned second-team All-ACC in 2020. Is a cousin to Dolphins’ quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. After two strong years of playing a versatile inside-out role for the Notre Dame defense, he is going to need a team with a very specific plan to draft him. Does not have enough juice for the outside and he is well below the size requirements of playing inside. But he is an energy stick for a front that will create plays based on hustle and grit. The question here is how often that will come up and at what expense? Even fronts may see him as a run defending end that could shift inside on select pass rush packages, but he needs to refine the skill set and harden his lower half a bit first. Credibly brings inside-out versatility with a never-die motor. Stays busy post-snap and throughout the entire play. True snap-to-whistle switch that creates from hustle and grit. Has a strong and sudden get-off and plays with a plan. Shows a variety of rush moves and knows how to adjust. Recovers well when he is beat. Will make sharp cuts to the ball and plays with a finisher’s mentality. Does not anchor against the double team. Needs more lower body strength and power. Struggles to win the lockout game consistently.
