2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about MARVELL TELL III: Southern Cal, 6020 198 4.55. Three year starter from Pasadena CA. A tall rangy safety with fluid movement skill. Has experience as a centerfielder or half/quarter zone player. Most often used as the deep safety in a one high look. Occasionally drops to the box and is solid in underneath coverage. At his best in the deep zones where his length makes him difficult to throw over. Smooth pedal with a sudden break to react to routes in front of him. Has the range to get over the top of a deep outside route and demonstrates ball skill getting to the high point on balls in his area. Showed match up skill in limited reps. Tracks with a burst moving downhill versus the run. Can come from a distance and adjust to make a play in space. Solid fundamental tackling skills when in position. Bends his knees and runs his feet most of the time. Normally takes good angles to the ball and is around the ball a lot. Took some poor paths to the ball in early games but was more on track as the season progressed. Has some trouble bringing down a powerful back in the open field. Will get dragged at times. Inconsistent run support last fall. In early games he missed more tackles than a top prospect should. Has been beaten on an occasional deep route when matched up. Does not always process route combinations and will get attracted to a deep underneath route with a vertical running up the seam. Appeared to have some lapses in intensity this past season. 2018 stats: 57 T, 1 TFL, 5 PBU, 1 QBH, 1 FF, 1 BK, 1 INT. BTR:left 5.05, right 5.11. Did not work out at Combine by choice. Fifth/sixth round. (A-33 1/8, H-9 3/4, VJ-42, SS-4.01).
