Lacks a little power but he is a secure tackler who rarely misses. Good zone defender. Sees the quarterback and does a good job getting in the throwing lane. Senses routes behind him and has good ability to move laterally while reading the quarterback’s eyes. Good break on the ball. Shows good match-up skills on backs and stayed on the field versus empty sets covering an inside slot. Showed enough speed and mirror ability to stay with a receiver in the seam. Has blitz potential but was most often in coverage in passing situations. Undersized for a full time box linebacker but could find a role as a nickel linebacker with the right team. He has good coverage skills and is a secure tackler.
