Williams is the older brother of the Browns’ Greedy Williams. Has experience in a variety of coverage including outside deep zone coverage, press and off man, and some hard corner. As a press corner can be disruptive using his long arms to jam at the line or use an off-hand jam on an outside release. Uses both a reactive and physical press at the line. Normally is patient ignoring the first move away from leverage. Can stick double moves at the line and is fluid to turn and run to stay in phase. Excellent mirror ability on extended routes. As an off man corner uses a slow to fast pedal to maintain cushion. Occasionally would step up and aggressively collision and react to vertical release. As a zone defender is solid in the deep outside getting into a lateral run while seeing threats and the quarterback release. Consistent to squeeze the voids in zones and cover inside out seam and corner routes. Normally makes most tackles with a wrap and drag. In run support can separate from stalk blocks but has difficulty shedding and can get washed out. Will miss tackles in space and at times is too cautious playing the run. In off coverage is inconsistent with cushion either letting receivers too close or giving up too much room. Has not been extremely productive playing the ball but flashes plant and drive.
