Ourlads' Profile:

2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about HAMSAH NASIRILDEEN: Florida State, 6031 213 4.60. Two year starter, Concord NC. A lengthy physical prospect who has the versatility to play as a hybrid, deep or box safety as well as some linebacker characteristics. Athletic, with quickness and change of direction skill he has been a playmaker in the Florida State defense since his freshman year. As a deep safety he tracks and adjusts moving downhill dropping ball carriers in their tracks. Solid fundamental tackler he explodes into tackles with gather and finish. As a box defender he slips blocks on the move and shows instincts as a short space defender. Has often aligned as a hybrid overhang player and has excelled there. Quick to close on short throws and can separate a receiver from the ball. Has ball skills getting to the catch point with hands for the interception. As a deep safety shows a fluid pedal quickly reacting downhill or laterally. Solid zone defender he is smooth flipping his hips to get over the top and takes proper angles to the ball. In the box he gets good depth in the short zones and is quick with plant and drive. Has been used as an edge blitzer and with a clear path has a burst closing on a ball carrier or the quarterback. Struggles taking on blocks on the blitz and gets upright. He normally has good range in zone coverage but can be a little hesitant in deep coverage. At times he will leave too much room in between zones. As a one on one coverage defender there isn’t a lot of exposure but he can get separated from a quick receiver on a route break. Deep speed is questionable. He had an ACL injury in late 2019 but came back to play well this year. He has shown kick coverage skill and his versatility will be attractive. The question is what position? Some may look at him as a Will linebacker. Either way his skill set will play in the NFL. 2020 stats (2 games): 13 T, 1.5 TFL, 1 PBU, 1 INT. Third/fourth round. (A-34 1/2, H-10, VJ-32, SS-4.27).
