Ourlads' Profile:

2017 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about JORDAN WILLIS: Kansas State, 6036 255 4.57. Three-year starter at left end from Kansas City, MO, Team captain, first-team All-Big 12, and winner of the Big-12 Defensive Player of the Year in 2016. Third in school history with 26 career sacks. Tied the single season mark last fall with 11.5 sacks. A well developed upper and lower body that features functional play strength. Has lower body flexibility to help him win the leverage battle. A physical grinder who plays with good tilt. Always a factor. Plays with energy and effort. Always in the game frame around the ball. Locates the ball and pursues with good angles and tenacity. Plays square and works through double teams. Doesn’t stay blocked. Gets up the field and creates pressure on the quarterback. Good lateral quickness to close down the off tackle seam. A sideline to sideline sprinter who makes crossfield hustle plays. Forced seven fumbles in the last two years. Can also cover a tight end down the field in man coverage. Lauded for his intangibles by long time Head Coach Bill Snyder. Does a lot of the little things right and his top tier intangibles are what every coach wants to work with. His playing strength and power presence are ascending. His relentless pursuit of the ball and ability to get to the action consistently can get him on the field. In time he will need to show strength and size gains to hack it as an every down player in the 4-3 scheme. As a 3-4 outside rusher, his talent will only be as good as the scheme. Senior Bowl notes: Collected two sacks in the game. Was named the South’s Most Outstanding Player. He is a relentless pass rusher with good lateral quickness. Struggled at times in one-on-one pass rush drills where Antonio Garcia and Justin Senior caused him fits. Appeared that he was a half count slow on snaps. A good leverage player who gives the maximum effort every play. 2016 stats: 52 T, 17.5 TFL, 11.5 sacks, 3 PBU, 4 QBH, 3 FF, 1 FR. Edge speed:left 1.86, right 1.93. OSR:2/40. First/ second round. (A-33 1/2, H-9 7/8, BP-24, 10-1.57).
