Ourlads' Profile:

2020 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about LYNN BOWDEN JR: Kentucky, 5105 204 4.49. Junior entry, two-year starter, Youngstown, OH. He stole the show as an all purpose performer in 2019, winning the Paul Hornung Award and earning first-team All America honors. The two time first-team All SEC honoree made the move to quarterback for the final eight games of 2019 which led to him leading the Wildcats in both rushing and receiving. Bowden is a gamer who knows the game well and has the feel and movement ability to support it. He projects as a slot receiver that will need to clean up his route running but in the meantime, he can be a specific package player that will put a defense on their heels when he steps on the field. Balanced, low-to-ground runner who can take on contact with ease. Bounces off tacklers at all levels and will run through half-hearted attempts. Tough and hardnosed competitor. Natural vision with smooth and easy looking reactions. Has a sense of ease and balance to his movement. Shows strong, big hands the second he gets out of his break and doesn’t let many hit the turf. Showed top tier versatility against the SEC level of competition. Runs faster than he times when he reaches the open field. Has a lot of sloppy routes where he doesn’t use his agility or burst. Gets too rounded on his slants. Limited separation on all levels of the route tree, needs more urgency. Will get too emotional at times and lose track of his assignments. Lack of size and leaping ability will make things tough for him in traffic. 2019 stats: 30-348, 11.6 ypr, 1 TD, 1468 yds rushing, 7.9 ypc, 13 TD. Medical exclusion at Combine. Fourth/fifth round. (A-30 7/8, H-9 3/4, VJ-DNP, SS-DNP).
