2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about D'ANDRE WALKER: Georgia, 6023 251 4.70. First year starter from Fairburn, GA. A somewhat undersized edge prospect that projects as a 3-4 outside linebacker. Was a first year starter in 2018 but was a productive sub package player in the previous three seasons. Plays with a high motor and was very productive in the Georgia scheme. Sudden quickness at the snap made him very effective on stunts and getting upfield. Has a variety of pass rush moves and can quickly attack inside or out. Gets into an offensive lineman quickly giving him a two way go. Can collapse the pocket in the pass rush squeezing an offensive tackle with relentless effort. Gets underneath the blocker and be disruptive in the backfield. Has a quick closing burst. Uses his arms and hands well to control a blocker and can shed on the move versus the run. Moves well laterally but can be slow to change directions. While not used a lot in coverage, shows the ability to drop in the flat and react to routes. He can get in the throwing lanes. Normally plays with a good pad level but has some inconsistency and can get upright. At times will not execute proper technique and will struggle to shed. Not always explosive attacking a block and gets locked up. Not the best tackling in space as he is occasionally hesitant and will miss as a result. Projects well to special teams as he played on various teams and was a force in his career on the kick off team. Has the tools of a quality NFL starter but will need to develop consistency. 2018 stats: 45 T, 11 TFL, 7.5 sacks, 3 PBU, 10 QBH, 4 FF. Medical exclusion at Combine, hernia. Third/fourth round. (A-34 3/8, H-9 7/8, BP-DNP, SS-DNP).
