2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about CHRISTIAN MILLER: Alabama, 6033 247 4.70. Three year rotation player from Columbia, SC who was a part of Alabama’s talented group of linebackers the past few seasons. Has contributed as a productive sub-package player. Has little experience as a full time player as injuries and an outstanding corps of backers kept him as a rotation player. Projects well as an NFL 3-4 outside linebacker. Has long arms and uses them well to control blockers on the move. Has excellent pass rush skill and uses his length to work through blocks. Combine that with outstanding first step quickness and you have the potential of a dominant pass rusher. Has been effective with double moves versus tackles in the pass rush. Counters well with quick movements and ability to use his hands to shed. Shows a burst to close in the backfield. He is athletic and can change directions quickly showing the ability to play in space. Very good lateral movement with chase ability across the field. Has coverage skill and can cover a back in the flat or up the field. Needs to improve versus the run with a play right at him. Will occasionally get upright and locked out of a play. At times too easily washed out as he can struggle to redirect off a block. Could use a little more bulk and lower body strength. 2018 stats: 36 T, 11.5 TFL, 8.5 sacks, 1 PBU, 12 QBH. Edge speed:left 2.47, right 2.30. Did not work out at Combine. Fourth/fifth round. (A-35 1/8, H-9 3/4, BP-18, SS-4.49).
