2018 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about JORDAN WILKINS: Mississippi, 6005 216 4.55. One year as a full-time starter from Cordova, TN. Was forced to miss all of 2016 due to an academic suspension. Entering 2017, Wilkins had just 124 career carries and was off the radar. However from September 30th against Alabama through the end of the season, Wilkins averaged over seven yards per carry in the teeth of the Rebel’s schedule. Also showed solid hands and blocking ability. Is a smooth runner who shows enough patience to let things develop and enough burst to get through small creases. Excels at adjusting on the fly, taking what the defense gives him, and falling forward. While there isn’t a ton of power or explosion, he is quick to accelerate and keeps his feet moving after contact. Doesn’t always run with proper pad level and struggles to outrun angles that defenders can get on him. Not an open field threat, nor will he break through a lot of tackles. There is some unknown here with Wilkins, as he was very productive in his limited opportunities but his ability doesn’t jump off the screen. 2017 stats: 1011 yds, 6.5 ypc, 9 TD, 26 rec, 241 yds, 9.3 ypr, 1 TD. Did not run at Combine, left hamstring. Seventh round/PFA. (A-30 1/8, H-9 3/8, BP-16, SS-4.31).
