1	Chiefs	Eric Fisher	OT	Central Michigan
The Chiefs looked VERY closely at both prospects and have analyzed the tape very thoroughly. After all of that, it may be difficult to compare these two players because of the level of competition they went up against and the style of QB they were protecting. That being said, if you have two prospects neck-and-neck, the choice comes down to their ceiling and what type of football player you want to have on your team. Fisher is a nasty, tenacious and strong-minded guy who'll fight tooth and nail for you. I have a hunch they choose him.
2	Jaguars	Dion Jordan	DE	Oregon
The Jaguars opt to wait on QB and see who falls to them on day two rather than add Geno Smith. Dion Jordan is the type of defensive beast that Gus Bradley can build his defense around. He'll be feared by opposing defenses for the next 10+ years and regardless of the state of the Jags as a franchise, they are better with Jordan in their lineup.
3	Raiders	Luke Joeckel	OT	Texas A&M
TRADE (Raiders receive 1.05 and Other draft picks from the Lions): The Lions move up so that no other team can, and ensure that they get their franchise Left Tackle. Joeckel is a surefire starter and will help keep Stafford healthy and upright while he searches for Megatron.
4	Eagles	Lane Johnson	OT	Oklahoma
Geno Smith is an option here, but I feel like Chip Kelly may believe in the guys that he has now. And the Eagles need a superior athletic Left Tackle to do what Kelly demands... enter Lane Johnson. Jason Peters isn't a sure bet to get back to his old self and the Eagles are now in a position to trade Peters, or utilize him on the right side.
5	Lions	Star Lotulelei	DT	Utah
(Raiders from Detroit) Reggie McKenzie isn't dumb. He realizes that Lotuleilei provides the most promise for the raiders on the inside and will be Tommy Kelly's successor. He's a run-stuffing, mobile Nose Tackle who can occupy blockers and make things easier on the rest of the front seven. They also added some picks and still got him. Good move.
6	Browns	Dee Milliner	DC	Alabama
The Browns have been looking to trade down and even though Geno Smith is still sitting on the board, there are no buyers. The Browns do love Milliner but believe if they slide down, they can get a look at him or another player like Tavon Austin and have better value for their pick. They are forced to stay put and true to their board.
7	Cardinals	Tavon Austin	WR	West Virginia
Bruce Arians and the Indy staff filled out their roster last season with top speed WRs. The Cardinals offense has Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Roberts and Michael Floyd, however, they are missing a playmaker for the slot like Austin who can also stretch the field and give Patrick Peterson a break on kick returns. Arians salivates at the idea of having Austin in his offense, whoever the QB may be.
8	Bills	Ryan Nassib	QB	Syracuse
Who would've thought that the Bills would be given the opportunity at first-pickings from the QB pool. The Bills actually believe they could have traded down and still acquired Nassib, but having not found a partner, they opt to reach on their guy. It's a solid pick for top QB taken as rankings vary depending on who you talk to.
9	Jets	Geno Smith	QB	West Virginia
Geno was sweating it out in the green room and will probably be visibly upset after he hears another QB's name called before his. But he doesn't have to wait long. The Jets are in desperate need of a QB and they feel like Smith could be the best in this draft class. The Jets were actually expecting him to be gone and were going to target EJ Manuel or another QB later in the draft, but were happy to go with Geno here.
10	Titans	Ezekiel Ansah	DE	BYU
The Titans could easily take Chance Warmack here, but they also feel like their defensive line is missing something as well. Ansah is fairly raw and this pick actually allows him to learn the position more and get into the rotation. The writing is on the wall that the Titans will pass on a guard like Chance Warmack after signing the best free agent guard and two other free agents as well.
11	Chargers	Jonathan Cooper	OG	North Carolina
Good teams are built in the trenches. Cooper is a great Offensive Guard prospect... one of the best in years. Combine that with the fact that the chargers replaced two starting guards with two backups and this pick makes total sense. Cooper will be their new Kris Dielman and will help both the running game and protecting Philip Rivers; especially under Mike McCoy and Joe D' Alessandris's tutelage.
12	Dolphins	DJ Hayden	DC	Houston
The Dolphins have been making tons of moves, however, the one area of their team that has been neglected and they have actually lost players at was CB. DJ Hayden is an elite CB prospect and can step in right away and possibly be an impact starting CB for Miami. Solid pick.
13	Jets F/TB	Kenny Vaccaro	FS	Texas
TRADE (San Francisco gives 1.31, 2.02 and 3.29 for 1.13) The 49ers have multiple picks and only a few spots to fill on their roster. The Jets are looking to trade back and accumulate picks. It's a match made in heaven and the 49ers are able to add the top safety to their defensive backfield and still have picks to boot.
14	Panthers	Sharrif Floyd	DT	Florida
A lot of people believe Floyd is a lock for the top ten, however, it can be argued that Floyd isn't even a better prospect than Fletcher Cox of last year who also was not a top ten selection. Floyd has his flaws and the Panthers should not be surprised to see him available here. The Panthers need help in a lot of places, but defensive line may be the most pressing need.
15	Saints	Barkevious Mingo	OB	LSU
Mingo slides down slightly due to his refusal to lift for teams; which only perpetuated the idea that he is not very strong and cannot come off of blocks or hold blockers at bay in order to make a play. The Saints have made the switch to a 3-4 and only have guys who are question marks or don't have the talent to be the guy. Mingo might have that talent.
16	Rams	Chance Warmack	OG	Alabama
It's a very surprising thing that Chance Warmack slides down to this spot. The fact of the matter is, the offensive guard position is not as highly valued as others in the NFL. Warmack is a pure mauler and can dominate opponents with ease. The Rams are trying to establish their running game and although they missed out on Vacarro, they now have the opportunity to take a step in that direction.
17	Steelers	Jarvis Jones	OB	Georgia
It's been stated multiple times that Jones will not fall past this pick. I tend to believe it. He's a solid player and is a perfect replacement for James Harrison. He should excel in the Steel Curtain Defense.
18	Cowboys	John Cyprien	SS	Florida International
The Cowboys, need a SS last year and instead, traded up to get CB Morris Claiborne. This year, they still need a SS and John Cyprien provides a lot of what Mark Barron does, whom they passed on. This time, they solidify that spot once and for all with a hard-hitting, rangy safety that plays at a high speed.
19	Giants	Arthur Brown	OB	Kansas State
Arthur Brown is the best linebacker in this draft. The Giants have had problems filling out their linebacker core for quite some time. Arthur Brown may measure up as undersized but he doesn't play that way. He's a tackling machine and he plays physical and fast football.
20	Bears	Sheldon Richardson	DT	Missouri
The Bears want to establish a pass rush that can disrupt Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford so that they can stranglehold the top of the NFC North. Richardson and Henry Melton along with Julius Peppers and a rotation of Wootton and McClellin would definitely be a step in the right direction. Richardson may end up being the best DT in this draft and a steal here.
21	Bengals	Cordarrelle Patterson	WR	Tennessee
The Bengals should be pretty happy to have Cordarelle fall to them here. He's got a little let-down potential, but a ton of upside. With the pressure off of him to be the number one he should flourish opposite of AJ Green. Sanu should never have been looked at as the number two, he's more of a slot guy anyway.
22	Rams F/WAS	Robert Woods	WR	Southern Cal
The Rams know that they have a huge need at WR and they need one that can start right away. Brian Quick, Chris Givens, and Austin Pettis are about all they have at the position. Woods is the best route-runner in this draft and is smart enough to be able to come in and start day one. He'll be a great compliment to the WR core that includes a solid slot guy, a solid deep threat/#2 and a developmental #1. Woods will compete with and could beat out all of them for receptions.
23	Vikings	Sylvester Williams	DT	North Carolina
Sylvester will lineup in Minnesota's largest hole and learn from one of the best... the other Williams. Solid pick here.
24	Colts	Datone Jones	DE	UCLA
The Colts added Ricky Jean-Francois and still have Fili Moala, this doesn't appear to be a top area of need. However, Jones can offer interior pass rush capabilities that are just as necessary on 3rd downs as the edge rush. He's an outstanding fit for their 3-4 defense.
25	Vikings F/SEA	Xavier Rhodes	DC	Florida State
The Vikings lost their best Corner and I believe the reason is that they want to get bigger at the position so they can handle the Megatrons, Brandon Marshalls and Jordy Nelsons of their division. Rhodes can press better than most or any CB in this draft and will be asked to do just that on the NFC North's best.
26	Packers	Margus Hunt	DE	SMU
The Packers are going to make a conscious effort to get bigger and more physical on defense. Margus Hunt has all the tools to play DE in their 3-4 defense and free up Nick Perry and Clay Matthews to rush the passer... he can rush the passer as well.
27	Texans	Justin Hunter	WR	Tennessee
Justin Hunter could turn out to be the best WR in this draft. He's got all the physical tools and needs to bulk up and work on his concentration. All-in-all I don't see anyway the Texans pass on a pass-catcher with this pick. They need to address their ailing passing game.
28	Broncos	Bjoern Werner	DE	Florida State
This totally seems like a John Elway / John Fox type of move. They love hard-working, smart and high-motor football players. After losing Dumervil, the Broncos will be looking to add to their pass rush and Werner falls right into their lap.
29	Patriots	Darius Slay	DC	Mississippi State
Slay was invited to New York to be at the draft. This tips off that teams think he's a surefire 1st rounder. The Patriots need to get bigger at cornerback in order to cover guys like Torrey Smith or whatever big and fast WR they face in the 2013 playoffs.
30	Falcons	Tyler Eifert	TE	Notre Dame
Sure the Falcons need a pass rush and a better second CB, but they're also dangerously close to losing a viable TE for Matt Ryan to target. Eifert can spend his first year learning from, maybe the best ever.
31	49ers	Zach Ertz	TE	Stanford
NY Jets from SF 49ers) The Jets will need to help Geno Smith out with a middle-field/bailout target. Not only can Ertz compliment Stephen Hill and Santonio Holmes, but he can stretch the middle of the defense for Geno and open things up for the running game. Ertz is a tremendous prospect at TE in terms of receiving and that's just what NY needs.
32	Ravens	Manti Te'o	IB	Notre Dame
Round 2
33	Jaguars	Matt Barkley	QB	Southern Cal
The Jaguars really believe that Matt Barkley will have the mentality to compete and maybe beat out Chad Henne and Blaine Gabbert and feel that his arm strengh is adequate.
34	49ers F/KC	Kyle Long	OT	Oregon
(NY JETS from SF 49ERS): It's hard to believe that Rex Ryan would sign off on three offensive players going to the Jets before any defensive players do, but the new GM has the final say, and the Jets can't pass up a talent like Long.
35	Eagles	Desmond Trufant	DC	Washington
Chip Kelly got to witness Trufant's talents first-hand and will be happy to add him to the CB stable.
36	Lions	Cornellius Carradine	DE	Florida State
The Lions need to improve their pass rush after losing Cliff Avril and all his production to free agency.
37	Bengals F/OAK	Matt Elam	SS	Florida
The Bengals defense has been pretty solid with the exception of the play at Strong Safety. Taylor Mays needs to be replaced and Matt Elam can do just that.
38	Cardinals	DJ Fluker	OT	Alabama
I just find it hard to believe NFL teams are taking a Right Tackle in the 1st. The Cardinals surprise everyone and pass on QB again. They opt to take someone who'll protect the QBs they got. They must have someone in mind for round 3...
39	Jets	Johnathan Franklin	RB	UCLA
A solid draft already for the Jets after moving back and added four pieces to their abysmal offense They have given Geno Smith plenty of help already.
40	Titans	DeAndre Hopkins	WR	Clemson
With Kenny Britt a loose cannon, Nate Washington falling out of favor and Damian Williams never panning out, the Titans really only can rely on the stellar Kendall Wright as a prime target for Jake Locker. DeAndre Hopkins is a solid deep threat who plays physical and will fight to win Locker's inaccurate passes.

42	Dolphins	Johnathan Hankins	DT	Ohio State
The Bills add yet another OG/OT tweener to their o-line. Glenn will likely retain his LT spot however and Pugh can fill the hole they have at either guard spot.
